Natalya Bing is an Australian - Colombian musician and primary school educator based in the regional South-East beaches of Tasmania. As a violinist she performs casually with Van Diemen’s Band, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, MONA’s Faro Musician Ensemble and 4pm string quartet project. As an improviser and composer, she collaborates with fellow musician and visual artist Joshua Santospirito as duo Bing/Santospirito. In 2021 they were by commissioned by Mona Foma Festival to present their audio-visual story “The Quoll” at and composed music for the play ‘A Mouthful of C’s” at the festival in 2023. At the Unconformity’s 2023 festival, Natalya improvised electric violin, along with samples in the ‘Earthshine’ performances. She misses the West Coast’s forest and geological wonders and looks forward to the Elemental Memories unfold at this years festival.
