Lauren Steller is a cross-disciplinary creative whose practice is rooted in architecture and expanded through diverse explorations in art and design. From the outset, her work has centred on themes of play and human-centred design, consistently engaging with the ways people interact with space, form, and objects.
Play is a recurring and defining concept in Lauren’s artistic inquiry. Her work often adopts a language of playful geometry, shapes, and structures that invite users of all ages to interpret, engage with, and entwine their own behaviours into. She values the afterlife of objects: how they are used, lived with, and brought to life by others. These ideas naturally integrate into her architecture, interior design, and art projects, wherever they are applied.
